I have a problem trying to figure out the governor rod linkage any help be appreciated.
If you click on the link, I have governor linkage with the springs and plunger. The plunger has free travel of about a inch or more before contacting the springs or going forward to the vertical governor control arm. The excess play is causing problems with throttle control. Is the plunger suppose to have that much free play between the governor arm and the springs?
I have it set up now so when at idle the plunger is against the governor arm, but if I push to hard on hand throttle I hear a tiny bit of whine. I think I have it adjusted to tight to the governor arm.
How is this governor arm suppose to be set up?
