mf 175 3 point lift will not lift

I was bushhogging and caught a stump that lifted the BH up pretty high before it could get off from it. Anyway my 3 point does not lift up or down at all. Makes no noise when levers are moved in any dirction. Anyone got a solution or advice?

update.......I took the bushhog off the lift for trobuleshooting. After I took the bh off the lift would go up very very slow and then stayed there, no matter how i moved the control levers. . Full up and thats all. Turned the tractor off and it stayed in the full up position. Anyway, if you have some advice I am all ears..........ok, went back out to tractor and lift arms did fall to lowest level they can. Started up tractor and same result as above. Arms would move up very very slowly, but will not go down.

not saying this is your problem, but i've have seen that happen backing up with a road blade ,it will shove the top link toward the lift housing hard enough to bend the control linkages under the lift cover

Ya know that is what i was kinda thinking. I
never really paid attention to how much the top
link move in and out anyway. So I guess I will
find out shortly. Manual has been ordered and
the teardown shall begin when it gets here.

Hi,
As has been suggested it would appear that excessive compression of the control spring may have caused damage to the internal linkage.
As a check I suggest that you drain the trans oil to the level of the lowest bolt in the RH side cover and remove the cover. Inside you will see the lever that comes up from the pump and the vertical lever which comes down from above. Operate the position control lever and watch what response you get. If working normally the pump lever should go rearwards in the lift position, roughly central in the neutral and forward when lowering. It looks like you might have barely any movement.
Let us know what you find.

I just put the lift cover back on my 2135 (the 3 point wasn't working correctly) it had a link inside that was bent because apparently the upper link had been jammed at one time.

I am going to take a look at it
tommorrow afternoon. It was working
great untill right after i caught the
stump. Then I tried to lift it and nothing
happened. So i started back ro the barn
and it picked up and would not go down.
Turned it off and unhookd the bh, and it
did what I first stated. So sounds lime it
has something bent or broke. It does go
up just so slow you cant tell it by
watching it because it take so long.
Anyway.......

ok, here we go. I took off the right side panel and took a loom. It seems to me that the draftcontrol linkage works with the lever. But the center lever has not got any movement of any item inside the inspection hole. If I am right the levers should actuate to different up down push rods. Anyway I think the lever is broke somewhere inside. I am still waiting on my manual for this beast, so I am shooting in the dark. What say you?

After further trouble shooying, i found that there is movement in the control levers. Just very little at all. It also only has one lift cover lever with 2 pan head adjusting screws next to a lever with a roller on the pump. In the process of all this I found the pto disk is messed up (I knew this before that the pto was on all the time) . So i am waiting on a manual still. I am thinking of sending it to the massey dealer.
