Is it possible to check the pressure on this pump via the pipe tap plug on the back cover of the pump? It is a Wooster 4 gpm.

That plug looks to be on the suction side of the pump. Mine doesn't have MP but does have IPTO and pump pressure can be checked at the left cover plate, which yours doesn't have.
Others will chime in, but I think there is a relief valve of sorts inside the bell housing for MP units. Can you trace the pressure line for another pressure tap?

The other end is attached to the MP control valve. The suction side is on the opposite side of the pump gears than the pipe plug.

Also, Is the working pressure 160-180 psi for the Wooster 4gpm pump? What would the dead head pressure be?
