Just re signed up, could not remember old password but have been reading for years.
Question, 59 TO35 Gas and trying to hook up one wire alternator. Do not have amp meter. Should I run the one wire to battery side of solenoid or to the positive battery post? What should Ii do with the voltage regulator and connected wires? Don't I need a couple of these to keep things working? Any help or wiring diagrams would be appreciated.

Wire from BAT terminal on regulator connects to output of alternator.

Remove both generator and regulator along with the field and armature connecting wires.

If regulator had an L (load) terminal it feeds the lights and ignition switch. It can also be connected to alternator output.

Charge wire normally connects to big hot battery cable at the starter solenoid/switch. This should be the same wire that came from BAT terminal on regulator.

If you have a charge indicator light it will not work with one wire alternator.

I would replace the wire from alternator output to starter solenoid/switch with a 10 gauge wire.

Thanks Virgil, I'll give it a go tomorrow.
I have looked everywhere for info on wiring this. I even stopped and talked to Dannis at Shuck in Lawrence and he knows everything about these old Masseys.
Thank you from a fellow Kansan.
