Massey Ferguson 50B won't drive or reverse

Hi

I've got a MF50B which is having trouble moving. It tries to go but just can't seem to get the power. I'm thinking it's a hydraulic problem but I'm not sure. All of the rest of the hydraulics (i.e. the bucket etc) work fine.

Any help would be much appreciated.

First make sure your tranny is full. Dip stick on
R/S behind your foot. Add Permatran oil ONLY!
Next, go to the pedal side (right) Those pedals
activate a shift bar heading 1/2 way up into the
tranny with a 90degree bend where it enters the
case (almost under the dash). There should be a
grease ftg. but no one ever greases it. This shaft
has to pivot "Freely" for the Shuttle pedals to
shift. Had to use a Visegrip to free mine, then
WD-40, then the grease ftg. With that said you
should be good to go. Good Luck and let us know if
that fixes the problem. This is common if the
tractor is left outside in the rain.

Hi many thanks for your reply. Unfortunately that didn't work. It moved whilst it was cold for 2 minutes or so and is now not moving again.
