Massey Ferguson 150 3pt won't lift any weight.

I have a Massey Ferguson 150 that I am having
some lift arm troubles with. When I first
started this whole adventure it wouldn't lift
my 72" brush hog at all. Since then I have
rebuilt the valve on top of the transmission
between my legs on the tractor. New o-rings
and sealing rings in that along with on the
stand pipe. That did not change anything for
the better.

I got my hands on a pressure tester and
couldn't get over 500 psi into the gauge so I
decided to rebuild the hydraulic pump thinking
that was finally my issue. Pump did have some
damages in it and I did get good pressure after
rebuilding it. I tried to lift my mower and it
will now lift it without the top link hooked up
but will not lift the mower with the top link
hooked up. It will lift the mower up high
enough for the top link to take weight then
stops.

I also forgot to mention that I have had the
rockshaft off the machine and I looked over the
lift piston. The rings and liner inside seemed
to be in good shape in my opinion.

At this point I am at a loss for what could be
causing my issues. Does anyone have
suggestions of where to go from here? I need
the machine back to get my right away cleaned
up again.

Hi, you have almost answered the question. Lower the DRAFT lever fully and check the top link linkage for end float. Ideally there should be none. What is happening is that if you have end float present the pump is being placed in the neutral position and not the pumping position. As a further test attach a chain or similar to the hinged pin lugs to do away with the top link in effect. If it works OK then you will need to remove the control spring assembly and overhaul it and readjust it correctly.
