Bucket drops on MF1010

I have a little Massey Ferguson 1010 diesel with FEL.. When I have dirt or gravel in the bucket, the hydraulics won't keep the bucket up. I have to keep working the lever to lift the bucket as I'm driving. The loader drops some also. I can hear a noise as the tractor sits of the loader going down. Is this in the cylinders or controls??
thanks in advance.

OK, thanks very much for your reply.. Is this a job I can do myself, or should I take them in to a hydraulic shop?

If you or someone you know have good mechanical skills, and tools you can reseal them yourself, otherwise it maybe best to have a hydraulic shop do the job.

Thanks II have decent mechanical skills, but don't know if I have the tools needed if specialized tools are required...
Again many thanks for your reply.

It really depends on how the cylinders are put together (there are so many different ways), without seeing them I don't know how easy, or hard it would be to re-seal them.

It could be either the valve or one/both cylinders, but I would suspect a cylinder first due to the fast rate it falls.
