Man, I'm stuck. I split my 135 massey to replace the input shaft seals. Then i find out that you have to also split the transmission to get to the input shaft retainer out. My question is how far do you need to slide the trans out to drive back the PTO shaft. I was thinking of putting long bolts throught the transmission bolt holes to slide it out say 3 inches. Is this enough room for the shaft to slide back or do you need full access to the back of the trans. Safety is a factor here to me thats alot of weight and awkward to deal with... Thanks for all replys....P.S. I do have a manual...
