Z134 engine question

What other tractors beside my 135 1965 take the z134 engine and are they all the same? Were there any upgrades to be aware of?

Also. What is the pto hp on my 135 z134 6 speed special?

Thanks.

Don't know about pto hp, but on the Z134 engine is rated at 39 hp. The Z145 had a advertised 35 pto hp.

As far as upgrades you can go from the Z134 bore of 3.312" to the Z145 3.375" bore.
The bare Z145 block has a different part number than a bare Z134 block so I don't know if you can put a Z145 crank (4.062" stroke) in a Z134 block, the Z134 crank has a (3.875" stroke).
The Z134 has a "low altitude" 6.0 compression ratio (dished top piston), and a "high altitude" 8.0 compression ratio (flat top piston).
I don't know if the Z145 has the same compression ratio's as the Z134. I don't have a Z145 engine manual.

The Z134 was used in the Ferguson TO35, Ferguson 40, Massey Harris 50, Massey Ferguson 50, and Massey Ferguson 35 (MF35). It was also used in several Work Bull industrial models during those years. I don't know as much about the 100 series so not sure which models might have used it other than the 135. As far as I can tell, you should be able to swap Z134 engines between any of the models without issue other than the early blocks did not have the power steering pump opening at the front left of the block.

I did a oiling system upgrade on my Z134, it's not a kit you can buy. I had an idea of doing away with the bypass oil filter (which doesn't filter any of the oil going to the bearings, and such) to a system that filter the oil before it goes to the bearings. Right now I'm in the testing stage to see how it works out, and so far I'm pretty happy with the change.
