I have been lucky enough to secure the purchase of a Massey 35X that was owned by my grand father from the mid 1960s. A bit of stalking and detective work paid off!
Since the tractor left us it had been over hauled about 10 years ago and has only done 800 hours since. All the juices are in the right place and it starts and runs way better than when we last had it!
The only concern I have is that the oil pressure gauge just goes straight of the scale once the tractor starts and seems to stay there. The gauge is a replacement from the when the overhaul was done so should be ok. If I pull the dip stick out while she"s running nothing comes out which seems positive. It hasn"t had an oil change for some time and I noticed from some forums that this maybe an issue? Is there a product anyone in the UK can recommend to flush the oil through?
I understand that a bypass or pressure relief valve can jam...
Any help would be appreciated
