2135 Power Steering Issue

I have a MF 2135 with a power steering issue.
The PS works fine until the tractor warms up then it stops working.
I was mowing for about 2 hours then on the way back to the barn I noticed the PS had gone out. I put it up and got back to it a couple of days later I started it and the PS was back. I had to do a quick mow and the problem returned.
There is no fluid leaking that I can see, no broken hoses. The fluid level is on the mark when cold, haven't checked when it is hot yet.

Any thoughts? Also, what is the recommended replacement fluid?

Thanks,
Pat

For the fluid, Universal Tractor Hydraulic/Transmission Oil like NAPA 85-401. Is your gas, or diesel? (since they use different ps pumps). They also have a filter in the pump that usually doesn't get changed so I would start there. It could also be the ps pump is worn out (can't pump when the oil gets hot, and thin).

I got a gas engine in mine also (Continental Z134 4 cylinder), I got it running today, and the power steering on it is useless. Steers the same as my brothers 135 without power steering. I bought my 2135 not running for $1500.00 got it home, got it running, it had sounded like a rod knock, but one I got the oil pan off the crankshaft was broke in two behind the center main journal. Whoever re-ground the crankshaft ground the radius on the journals square.
