Massey harris 44 vs. 44-6 transmission

So I recently purchased a 44-6 standard. Long story short I need some gears for the transmission. 4th slider and 4th stationary as well as reverse. I have a 44 row crop parts tractor. Before I lug it up from the woods can someone verify that the internals will interchange?

There may be some different gear ratios but the cases should be the same-you may have to use the whole gearset from the other tractor but possibly not.

The 4th, and reverse gears on the 44, and 44-6 have different tooth counts (and part numbers).

The 44-6 and the 30 ran the same gears if my memory is correct. The 33 and the 44 ran the same gears. Check on the Agco Parts book site to verify.

30,33,44-6,44 all have same 1st, 4th, 5th gears.
2nd and 3rd gears are different in 44 from the others 3 (30, 33, 44-6 all have same exact gears)

The axles may be different depending on year, but the trans gears should be same or compatible. My 44-6 (1947) has double spline axles and none of my other 44"s (1949+) do. Didn"t think to check my 30.
