Hello, Have a 1959 MF50 gas Dual clutch with a input shaft leak and an oiled clutch. Have split tractor at bell housing, removed clutch pivot, drained trans oil removed 4 bolts from upper shafts housing, won,t come out. Read forums, removed lower PTO cover, circlips ,spacer pulled PTO forward to drop gear lower on shaft. still unable to remove input shaft as forum seems to indicate. PTO circlip has holes for removal toward front {removed}. Does the input housing comeout with both shafts attached ? What if anything is holding it in? comes out half inch then stops, does the PTO shaft need more removal? any help here is GREATLY appreciated!! Please and Thanks

I would think the lower gear once dropped would allow the upper to come out. That's how it worked on my to35 with z134.

Did you pull the PTO shaft completely out? This is what it should look like with the PTO gear dropped down.

HELLO ,Forum advisers!thanks for your INPUT{pun intended} will get back to MF 50 later this week believe total removal of PTO shaft will then allow input shaft to be removed, hope not to hear any strange noises of pieces falling!! thanks
