Mf 165 one more question

Finally got it all back together, eveything seems to work and good pressure except the links dont want to lower. I didnt have a mfn163 to make the final adjustment, i tried holding the plunger out with a screw driver cut to fit over the shaft and behind the head, but that pushes the pump roller back more... Could that be my problem? I dont think my weight is 800lbs either even though i has it at the end of a long boom pole

Hi Terry,
It is very important to be able to hold the dashpot piston fully out as the adjustments are very precise.
It sounds like the weight you are using may be attached to the linkage using a top link. If your weight is too heavy it will activate the Draft mechanism. Your workshop manual should tell you to attach a weight to the LOWER links. This will have no effect on the Draft linkage.
