MF 533 Lift Pin Failure (Twice)

I have a MF 533 (same as 431) bought new in 2007.

With 245 hours on the tractor the pin attaching the lift arm to the axle trumpet failed. MF would not replace the pin under warranty because, even with 245 hours on the clock, it was out of warranty on elapsed time. They did not decline my claim until the tractor was trucked to the dealer and disassembled for "inspection."

When MF declined the warranty claim I had little choice but to pay the dealer to replace the pin and put things back together.

Last week the same pin broke again after another 150 hours and two years . The dealer that replaced the pin the first time wrote an estimate for replacing the pin that was approximately twice the cost of the first replacement. I could probably repair it myself in about 6 hours for about $50.00 in parts but simply do not have the time.

Is anyone aware of lift pin failures on similar MF tractors. The 533 is essentially the 2007 version of the 135 and uses a similar single reduction rear axle.

Thanks in advance.
