Hi all, I totally tore down the ipto clutch last summer and had it rebuilt, Put it all back together and it worked perfect. skip a head to this summer. The pin holding pto shifter handle fell out, put it back in and now the pto pump under seat doesn't sound right and pto shaft continues to turn slowly after disengaging lever. My question, the shaft that the lever goes on, could it have turned 180 deg from where it is supposed to be and in the process changed the position of the valve that the arm on back of pto lever cover operates?

If the IPTO is the same as the 150, the shaft only rotates 45-60 degrees. The internal linkage restricts the movement.

The pin also came out on my 150. The hole was worn oblong. I have a few tapered reamers and reamed it to accept a larger pin. Didn't take much metal, just enough to get a bite.

As to the PTO shaft turning slowly, is this with/without equipment attached? The brake pad is very small and NOT designed to stop equipment. It just holds the shaft from turning. That being said, mine wouldn't hold either. I pulled the right cover and found the brake cylinder piston stuck. I was able to get a pry bar in there and work it free.

Probably a six pack job, your choice beer/soda.

the shaft turns with no equipment. could the modulating valve somehow come out or moved out of its proper location?

I don't know what you meen by "modulating valve". In the picture you can see the inside of the linkage. There is a detent bracket which will only let the shaft move so far.

With the tractor at idle and the IPTO lever in the OFF position. Lever a 2x4 over one 3-point arm and under the pto shaft to see if you can stop the shaft. DO NOT try this with your hands. IF so, the brake is not holding. Does your equipment turn if the PTO is hooked up and the lever is in the off position?

Have you checked the pump pressure at the test port near the IPTO lever? The pressure is either to the clutch or to the brake, no in between.

It's been several years since I worked on mine, but I thinking the PSI should be 130-180 at the test port with the PTO engaged.
