Massey Ferguson 40B Industrial

I have a Massey Ferguson 40B tractor. With an added front end loader do you have to add an auxiliary hyd pump in the front or will the tractors lift pump be enough to operate it?

If it has a 3 pt. hitch, you can use the internal pump but it will be painfully slow. The front pump is around 17 GPM. The 3 pt. pump is around 4 1/2 GPM and you can't use the 3 pt. at the same time as the loader.

I have a 40B Industrial, that has a loader on it, and the loader is run off a front mounted hydraulic pump, and the loader frame has it's own resevoir on it. I also have a Deutz 4506, that had a loader added to it. The loader was horribly slow as they were trying to run it off the 3pt internal pump. I removed the loader. If I was ever thinking of adding a loader, definately would have to add a pump either on the front end, or one on the PTO.
