you might try the old condenser

if no joy, check condition of the points, if a bit of grease was on them when you installed them they can corrode quickly

I dought anyone would take it and post about it.I'd drain the bowl first then turn on gas and check flow, most backfires are trashy gas.

Thanks for all your knowledge and wisdom, when I put the new dist. cap on. it pinched the condenser wire. I replaced the condenser this morning and she runs fine.

Stick Welder, when I delivered a ford 3000 to this guy thats how I found this tractor always kept inside and didn't run, I payed 2500.00 and put about 500.00 into in that includes new emron paint.
Again thanks to all the input guys, will be brush hogging this afternoon.

You'd be surprised. A few years ago on here a guy claimed he found a big IH crawler loader in an abandoned shed and took pictures. He even started it and was asking how to make it move. Sadly, several people were telling him what to try. Then someone pointed out the no trespassing written on the wall of the shed and said the pictures the guy took would help the police in locating him. How long can something be abandoned and start right up? This was a 2+yd. track loader.

Guess I was just having to much faith in humanity, kinda like that bandit on tv holding up a store with a clear plastic bag over his head.
