1967 massey ferguson 1100 perkin powered

I have a 1967 massey ferguson 1100 perkin powered diesel that we replaced the fuel pump on and now after bleeding the system according to the manual it will only run for 3-5 min then shuts off. new fuel filters, ect. we re Stumped! any helpful advice would be welcomed! Thanks in advance ;)

The pickup line in the tank may have the drain plug screen partially plugged, in the bottom of the right tank if I remember correctly. Also check the constant bleed orifice fitting on top of the filter base, if it gets plugged any trapped air will not leave the base and goes to the pump, causing shutdown. Brothers 1105 plugged once, drove us nuts till we found it. Would run 5 to 20 minutes, then die till bled of air again.

along with what dieseltech said, if your fuel suction line still has the rubber olives as some people call them they will go bad and allow air to enter the fuel, a small hole or crack in the sump tube if used will do the same, had one of those olives to plague me for 2 days, tractor might run a few minutes to a couple hours then shut off before I noticed a damp fitting on the suction side of a 1100 at the tank, replace the olive problem solved

Check the vent tubes on your tanks, run a thin wire true them
