22 and 44 front bolster

I'm looking to get a 44 lighter with smaller front tires and give it a better stance. I haven't been able to get a good look at a 22 and was wondering if the whole front bolster would bolt up to the 44.

By looking at AGCO's parts the bolsters are totally different (not a bolt on). Could you post a picture of your front axle (I know of one way it could be made lower depending on the axle).

Don't know a good way to lighten it up but a front end from a 30 row crop will give you the ability to run a 15 inch rim possibly down to a 12 inch. I went 4.00 x 15 and it gives it a good look that is not too cheesy. Very little weight savings though.

I had it lowered before but I broke a spindle
loading it on the trailer ... (its a pulling tractor
I bought that was a rolling chassis) it had 12 inch
rims on it and the bolster was bolted above the
frame I had a pull last weekend and put a 44 one
back on but had to bolt the bolster below to clear
the 16 inch tires, I would like to stay with a 14 or
15 inch tire plus I was banking on the 22 hubs and
spindles being lighter. will the center shaft go
into the 44 bolster?

Bolster bolt patterns are different between 44 and 22. steering gear is the same. You could make an adapter plate with a little fabrication.
A 30RC frontend has 15" wheels with the same centers as stock 44 16's a slight drop but not much. Bolster and spindles are the same.
A 30 standard frontend will drop it a couple inches and if you cut the axle beam and use tubing it will wiegh less than the 44RC. Run with 5.50 16's and it will even steer. I have a RC on 4.00 12's and it's a pain to steer when it starts to get to the heavier classes.

Thats a good looking massey! I have one that is a wide front and lowered also I made the whole thing and just used a rack and pinon on it. The wife likes tricycle fronts and I was wanting to stay that way but make it light, Ron I'll give you a call when is a good time?

Here is a picture of what it did have but I have no idea what the front shaft came out of it has trailer hubs on it and 12 inch wheels but the spindle broke and had to shove a 44 shaft back in I would like to go with a little taller tire though.
