massey ferguson 150

Damn good tractor especially if it has the Perkins AD3.152 diesel engine, my brother bought used one in 1975 (it's 1965 year model). It's still going strong to this day.

As long as you some sort of oil pressure (how low does your get?). My brother also has a 135 with the same engine, it has 5 psi of oil pressure idling when it's hot (it doesn't have a knock to it). He does plan on going into the engine to check the main, and rod bearings this winter, which is probably all it needs. His 150 has around 25 psi at idle when it's hot.

(quoted from post at 14:51:31 07/23/14) Like to know the good things and bad thngs about a 150

Nothing bad..even if you find one with the Cont. Z145 gas engine...also one of the best engines in a small tractor there is...it may use a tad more fuel than the diesel, but around here, gasoline is 45cents a gallon cheaper than diesel...your choice...I love my 135 with the Z engine though...BobinVA

I moved up from a 9N to MF150 gas. Completely rebuilt it. Only down side, for me, is that with IPTO you have to pull the lift cover to maintain the two filters. If you don't have IPTO, you can get to the lift pump filter by pulling the left cover with the PTO lever on it.

After rear axle serial number CX 5051 they did away with that filter, and changed it to just a suction tube on that hydraulic pump on live, and independent pto tractors. It also runs the multi-power. I remember how much my brother "loves" changing that filter on his 150, since his has live pto he can change the lift filter by pulling the left cover off with the pto lever on it. MF sure made their hydraulic systems "interesting".
