HELP! ... --- ...

Replaced my 202s rear tires with new 14.9x24 R1s ($993.57 mounted...made in China...lettering on 1 side is all funny symbols). Tires [i:7d7cf9920a]were[/i:7d7cf9920a] a couple 16.9 R4s that were dried out bad but 1 went flat and wrecked the sidewall open and the bead had already had enough with constant tube issue before. Now I have flat issues again.
That new left side went maybe 1 hour into operation the day before yesterday (no punctures to be seen on tire)...best can be attributed was to additional hidden burrs on the shoulder (proper term?) behind the bead. Pulled tire, patched tube, used 4 sanding discs to clean up the wheel for good.

Got called outside because "My tractor was hissing." Right side had just begun deflating while my repaired (see above) left that had just been fixed and awaiting remounting...had ALSO went flat (AGAIN!). Best guess on the left is that 1 of the 3 patches cut loose. NOW my right side just went (about 30min before this post)...from out of nowhere with the tractor sitting with left side on blocks.

I have to ask: DO THEY MAKE FLAPS FOR MY WHEELS? If not its either buy new tubes...cut up the existing ones and MAKE flaps....OR bite the bullet and spend $1200 to have them foamed and NEVER have a flat again....or until those cheap tires (what I could afford) prematurely fall apart. HELP PLEASE.

Trade it?

Might have found flaps meant for 8in x 24in for 30$/ea...the info says they will on wheels UP TO 12in...which is what my rims are bead to bead...but they're designed for split-rim so valve stem hole would have to be carefully planned out...but then might not have enough stem poking out to get the retainer nut on. UGH!
 
One thing I have done with pretty good success is wrap the rim with duct tape to protect the tube.

Is the tube you're using the correct size? If it's too small, it'll split at the seam. The recommended size for my 65's tires is a little small, went through a couple before I went up one size, and haven't had a problem since. The only good part is once the bead is broken once, it's pretty easy to break again.
 
When I replaced the rear tires on my MF165, the tire guy used an air powered descaler to dress up the rims before installing the tires. It was a pretty neat piece of gear and worked really well...and, I've had no flats with the new tires. Maybe you could borrow one or take the rims to a tire shop that does tractor tires.
 
Was a local tire shop that I got the tires from and had them do the change...and this recent repair. They deal MOSTLY with car//truck tires but also handle semi-truck style...is also where I had my dumpers front split-rims done. They also do backhoes.

The tubes I'm using are good for 13.6 or 14.9s on 24 rims. Hell...that OLD 14.9 tube whose patch failed after nearly a year w/o incident ran fine in a 16.9 though I deliberately kept its psi at 12 as a safeguard while the other was at 20. OFC those were old...patched up tubeless-style so that sides lower pressure was never noticeable. However I will STRONGLY consider the duct-tape method since it can be laid on as thick as deemed necessary and cheaper than any flap.

The side that had gone flat (the 1st time with new tire) it got thoroughly cleaned up...4 sanding discs later...couldn't do anything about the old pitting but anything that felt like a burr was eliminated. Can only guess its 2nd time going flat was a patch letting go after I let the thing drop in preparation for reinstalling the weight...was just going to wait an hour or so for temps outside to cool off some.
My right side...never had a problem even with the previous tube I had in with the 16.9 that was on it. I guess the tube found a burr...was only SLIGHTLY damaged...and after a couple days in the heat and direct sun....the weak spot went.
 
well sir I do hope that I can be of some help.Gemplers Catelog has tire linners.I have used them,and they are hander than pockets on a shirt.they come in two haves,clean your old tire out,install the two halves,install and inflat the tube just a little.Install on your rim.
