MF 1155 Oil Pressure

The oil pressure on my 1155 seems to be very high least thats what the gauge says. Can the pressure be adjusted, if so is this done. Tractor runs great otherwise.
Thanks
Bill

Hi Bill,
Gauges can fail and give a higher reading than is correct. Try and attach a suitable reading gauge to the block connection and see if they read the same or very close. That should tell you if your gauge is working correctly.

Probably fine, most Perkins will care good oil pressure, and most MF tractors just had a color gage with no numbers on them. If you check it with a gage the service book I have shows 60-65 PSI valve setting.

All 3 of my 1155's run over close to the yellow range on the gauge. If your worried about it down on the oil filter aluminum housing there is a pipe plug you can take out and screw a gauge into the port and see what pressure it reads. I also believe there is a oil pressure sending unit on the back of the gauge that might be going bad too??? Where is the needle pointing on your gauge.....in the yellow???
