I know that it is not even close to an antique, but I am looking to get a little help on repairing the temp gauge on my 2004 MF 461.

A little history, and I can elaborate much further if needed.
New gauge cluster, new from Massey Sending unit, wire from sending unit to cluster is good, (shorting it to ground pegs the gauge) and I am getting voltage from the hot lead as well.

I have not checked what the actual voltage is to the sending unit, anyone know what it should be? And I suppose it is possible that I have the wrong sending unit, for that matter the new gauge cluster could also be bad. Although I would much rather the sending unit.

Any thoughts? I am a lover of gauges, I am having trouble getting past this. thanks so much

So I am baffled. I have replaced the sending unit, twice. Checked the wire to the gauge, good. And the other wire is live, gets 12 volts, 13 something when running.

I guess either there is some weird electrical glitch, or the gauge cluster is bad, it"s new too though!
The schematic doesn"t match my machine, which really sucks.

Any other thoughts? I am totally obsessed with this gauge!
