There was a metal flexible hose connecting the oil bath/filter to the carb. Chipmunks chewed it all up, I can"t find a replacement online or in the stores. Its like 1.5" Diameter and around 16" long. I thought maybe a radiator hose but the local car shops said the biggest they had was 1".

Hey bigal,
Actually the tube coming from the air cleaner to the carb is metal with two connecting hoses, one at each end. The 8N has the same type of setup. I don"t know if it"ll work, but I"ve looked at my 8N and my 202 and they look similar. This site sells the tube and the connecting hoses. You could get a rough measurement, go to a parts store and get a flexible 1 1/2" top or lower radiator hose that would probably work too.

If most of it can be straight 1 1/2" od (non-flexible) exhaust pipe works good, if it needs a straight, 45, or 90 degree bend there is molded radiator hoses that have the right diameter, and the right bends in it, you just need to find a more friendly parts guy, who know his stuff, or will let you look at what molded radiator hoses they have on hand. If you can use straight exhaust pipe for most of it leave about 1" - 1 1/2" on each end shorter than needed so that it can flex. Another good source is http://www.mcmaster.com/# they have just about anything you can ever need for anything you are working on (it's like the ultimate hardware store). Provided you can't find what you need from a tractor parts dealer.
