MF 1130 leaking axle housing bolt

We have a 69 MF 1130 that had a new Left rear axle put in years ago.

Noticed a leak from one of the bell housing bolts today. The leaking bolt was put in with 2 lock washers!? I'm not sure why but it's the only one like that.

Can I just remove the one leaky bolt and replace it?

Sounds like the bolt may have been too long and they shimmed it with an extra lock washer. Replace with a hardened bolt of the same grade.

That was my thought too. Do the housing bolts run through anything internally or just connect to the other side of the housing? My father in law seems to think it might connect to something else besides the housing...I do not. But I want to be certain before I remove it. It"s along the lower lip, in an obvious spot to start leaking

The rear axle bolts don't go through anything.....their purpose is to only hold the rear axle housing to the rearend housing. I hope when they replaced the rear axle housing they put a new gasket in? I'd jack the tractor up on that side to relieve weight and remove that bolt w two locks and then take another bolt out on top to get the right length. Then retighten all the bolts again. Let us know how you make out.
