MF202 update #2

After some diagnosis on the engine noise, I dropped the pan yesterday, found #1 rod bearing spun. Don"t know if I can clean up the crank journal and rod enough to run it, without pulling the loader, which appears to be a PIA, splitting the tractor and replacing the crank...

Any suggestions???

do it right and do it once

my MF35 utility has Model 100 loader, front center pieces unbolt and you can roll front section of tractor out

brace the loader well and wedge the front first

yes, it can be done

Thanks SuperG, mine has the 200 series loader, looked at it real hard last night with my next door neighbor, as I mentioned it's gonna be a job. Looks like all the pins may be in rough shape and hard to get to some of them. Have the manuals on the way for the tractor and loader from this site. Once they get here, I'll hopefully know more.
Yeah, I want to do it right cause I plan on using the loader and backhoe for a while... Been pricing the crank, bearings, seals etc...

Thanks,
Roger

several very good posts in the archives here about doing the split

may as well do the clutch while you have it apart

working on a concrete floor is great but also can be done on plywood
