Since the rest of my MF202 rig is working proper at long last (see topic http://forums.yesterdaystractors.com/viewtopic.php?t=1114646 )...now to get my instruments out of the way. Bought a generic 3-gauge pro-tac set...though I wish to hell the needles were metal and not plastic to make them last longer. Guess I'll have to cover them up or make some shrouds. Just need some clearing on on where to connect them.
Volt gauge (the one the set came with) is straight forward enough, no problem hooking that in.
Oil pressure I followed the old HARDline to the right side near almost against the bell housing. That one's going to be fun.
[b:d5de4a955c]Temp gauge[/b:d5de4a955c]...the OLD line to the sender had long been disconnected and tucked away so I have no idea where to look. I checked on both sides of the head but found nothing. Where could it be?
Until the worn out hydraulics had their last hurrah (lasted long enough that after 2 trailer loads of junk that it struggled to load...and a 1 drump truck that it REALLY struggled)...I made do with nothing but rusty faced gauges that didn't. Kept an ear//nose//eye out at all times while running so if a problem arose I'd shut down immediately. But now its time to actually have the 3 most important gauges installed.
