I have a Massey 165 with a multipower tranny we had a remain
seal go out on the motor and when we split the tractor we also
found that the input shaft seal to the transmission was bad
also. We odered the parts and everything was fine until we went
to put the bushing over the seal for the tranny the bushing was
way to small but the seal was right we used the the bushing
that was in the book 511825M1 but it is not right. Dos anyone
know the right part number? The seal number in 886673M1
and the sn for the tractor is 9A30617. Any help would be very
appreciated the dealer is along way out and the wife is getting
mad.

Your tractor has the early "bushed" housing. These original sized and/or oversized bushings were never available here in Australia, but, according to to the AGCO website, were an option where you are.
The only option we had when the bush was worn out, was to replace the complete input housing, with the later version with the "needle roller" bearing and later seal fitted.
The part number for the housing is 1860 889M1 with the seal 1860 867M2.
This will upgrade your existing input housing to the later serviceable arrangement.
hope this helps, Evan.

Will this part work for the independant PTO or is this for the live PTO? My tractor is the IPTO. Thanks for the help.

The housing number I quoted should be an M91 not M1.
This housing will work for both types. Your existing valve body will be re-used and bolts to the new housing. Please check with your supplier as to the make-up of this part number, as my book shows the housing supplied with the needle roller bearing and seal fitted to it, hence the M91 denote.
Replace the valve body gasket as well.

I contacted the Massey dealer here today and said it appears that this tractor has been changed over to the new kpart and the what I thought was a bushing is all that is left of the needle bearing. I never did find any parts of it in the tranny or gear box so not sure what happened to the rest of it. I got the right parts on order sould come in next week I will let you know if they work. Thanks for all the help I really appreciate it.
