Looking at trading my ford 2910 diesel for a mf 235 gas. I have a mf 275 that I really like . I will use it to rake hay for the most part. Any advice?

Manual steering a great tractor. Power steering, run away. 235's were only in production for 2 years because of problems with power steering. It's sad because they use a tried and true powertrain.

It sounds like you have a 235 Orchard. These will have the planetary on the axle. Check to see if you have a fixed front axle with a power steering cylinder attached to the drag link. If you do this will be an Orchard model. This model is a better and heavier model than the standard 235. It is preferred by many because it does not have the steering issues of the standard 235. I would say the headlights are aftermarket as the rectangular headlights were used on the very late model 230 and 245. If it is indeed an Orchard model you have a very good tractor and will last forever if properly maintained. There is nothing built new today that will last as long as these tractors.
