180 and 175 cutting some hay today. First time running the 175...I thought I loved the 180 but... go MF power!

Hows the hay look Brendon? We got a lot of winter kill over on this side of the lake. I hope to start real soon.

The two fields I cut were pretty thin in places. I
was surprised the ground was as dry as it was. It is
on sandy soil though.

We were out moving sheep yesterday along a fence line between 2 hay fields. You'd walk along in shoulder high Orchard and Timothy then hit a brown spot of dead land 25 feet around and them find yourself in 8" tall grass and them hit standing water and then head high Canary grass! Kind of a funny year. Of course my farm is all clays and if anything is going to die or be thin or wet, it's going to be on clay.

Am I correct in assuming the 180 and 175 are real similar tractors with identical motors?(assuming both diesels).

Exception being the 180 is taller and the operator sits above the tranny case on a flat platform, where the operator straddles the tranny case like a utility style tractor and thus sits much lower on the 175?

If pressed, which one do you like better?

You are correct, the 180 has the platform. I really
like the 180 for mowing you sit up high. But this
175 has the independent PTO. I think it will be nice
on the baler.
