Massey 240 steering wandering

Does anybody have an idea why my steering is wandering back and forth?

I don"t know much, but I have a 240-S. Make sure the power steering fluid chamber is filled up. On mine, I have to put it at a hard right-hand turn, for soem reason, then fill the chamber to overflowing. Other than that, if it is the power steering, sorry, I can"t help fix that, don"t know.

Thanks. We filled it up, turned it back and forth a half dozen times , then checked it again.

On my 245 the tie-rod ends were worn internally. Jack the
front axle up and wiggle each front wheel. Watch the linkage.
Replace those that have a bunch of play. The worst one on
mine was at the steering gear arm where it attaches to the arm
that runs forward to the front end. I cut that one off and welded
a new one on. Cheaper than Massey parts. The threaded ones
above the front axle should be available from Massey. They
were not that bad price wise.
