Massey 135 issues

I have a 1972 Massey 135. I have owned her for about 3 months and all seems to have been going well until now.

The clutch has always been a bit inconsistent but today was really odd. I have to always fully depress the pedal to get her in gear with out grinding, this is also after waiting for a few seconds otherwise I still get some grinding. The Pto engages fine with the clutch pedal on the floor as it should. Today, I decided to do some mowing with a 6 foot topper (bush hog to guys in the US.) I noticed that when the Pto was running the tractor was still creeping when the clutch was on the floor. This also started to happen when the Pto was disengaged. The brakes would hold the tractor but I was then struggling to get her out of gear.

The strange thing is that it wasn"t every time I pushed the clutch in.

Also when the Pto is running and the engine is at PTo speed. It"s nearly impossible to get her in gear cleanly.

Any advice or pointers to solve the issue would be most welcome.

I"ll ask about the new oil leak on the right hand side of the engine, just above the sump join and between the dynamo and starter motor....

Sad day.
