Posting this message for my cousin. Todd
Hi
I have a 65 Industrial (without hydrapower). Have a broken "tab" in the transmission.
Tractor was running fine for its age until a bang happened while hauling a load of dirt. It stalled out the engine. After looking it over I started it with everything in neutral. While running in nuetral there is a small rattling noise from the tranny. But, when in gear it stops and the tractor moves fwd and reverse fine.
After taking the transmission cover off and draining the oil (only a few very small filings on the plug) I found that there was a small peice broken. See picture. Its a "tab" that i can move side to side that sounds very similar to the noise when it was operating in neutral.
Need help on what this tab is and if anyone has had a similair issue. Possible ideas on a fix.
