Tractor won't run after jumping

I have a 58 MF65. It needs to be jumped in order to start, but when you remove the cables it will die. Any ideas what might be causing this.

Battery dead and gen not putting out. Needs fire to run.

Bat could be so dead, that the gen can't put out enough to run it. A real dead battery will suck up all the charge that a gen can put out. Good start would be to put a new battery in it, and see what it does.
