Guys, I need advice/help with my lift linkage/control arms... I think the position lever comes up too far before the arms start raising. The video (hopefully) explains what I'm dealing with and would like to hear what y'all experts have to say...

Thanks

Well, maybe you got nodallas, but you got a nice workshop!
Half the time, the draft controls levers are set or adjusted wrong, but people want to tear into the guts of the machine. Got an operator's manual? The two levers both have to be spot on, IE, the punch marks on the outer bar have to have the lever between them, if accidental bumped, they got to get re-positioned. When they are in place not for the Ferguson draft control,- just not plowing? the front postion of the inner lever will bring the rockshaft up to the max- in a way, the 'draft' position throws everything off inside there. The two levers can be twisted with the screws in the center disc. Hard to explain without the book infront of the both of us.
I just went over this with a neighbor last week, seems painting small marks as a 'sweet spot on the quadrant is a good start. The nuts and screws on the levers are adjustable. Don't tear into the tranny yet, that's a last resort!!!

The internal linkages need to be adjusted.

There is a really good DVD available from the UK that takes you
through the adjustment process. It is for the MF35, but the
adjustment for the MF65 is exactly the same. The following link
is a trailer for the DVD

I have used the DVD in rebuilding hydraulics on MF35 and MF65
—well worth the money

I have no doubt you guys are correct.... it needs adjusting. The thing is, I rebuilt the pump and re-ringed the cylinder, and replaced the parts for the draft control. i adjusted it and was sure i had it set up just as the manual said. evidently not.
May have to go the dvd route.... I do better being able to watch someone do it.
