MF 85 hydraulic problem

My 85 operates fine when cold. After running for ten minutes or so it looses the PTO and power steering. Shut it down over night, the next day the same thing. Any thoughts? I put new hydraulic oil this spring. It doesn't appear to have a filter in the filter housing. (the canister under the gas tank is empty)

Sounds like the steering pump is worn out, will work cold, but as the pump and oil warm up steering gets weaker and then the PTO drops out as it uses a small amount of return oil to operate the PTO. Pump may still be available new, but costly. Salvage yard may have some, but anytime I looked 85, 88, or Super 90 the pump goes first. Also note the Super 90 pump is the same, but the pump drive gear is not as the teeth angle is different, so if you find a good used 90 pump reuse your 85 drive gear.

Best solution may be to pull the pump and split it to see what you have. Does sound like it is worn though.
