1963 massey 35 tach?

Someone replaced the generator on friends massey 35.
New genny has no gear on end of shaft for a Tach. Is
there a replacement tach that fits in the OEM hole
that runs off spark plug pulses?

I thought if the old one on my TO 35 ever goes south I might buy one of these

I'm sure friend wants one that fits in old hole and looks close to OEM, so thanks.

No.

The OEM tach is cable driven from the generator or camshsft if Perkins diesel powered.
