Ferguson 35 carb

I use these two factors too determine if I have my old TO35 carburetor properly tuned.

You need to have a good to excellent electrical system, points, condenser, wires, New distributor cap, rotor button and motor properly timed. I also only burn non ethanol gas, use it if available in your area.

Use the carb set up procedures you were given by the others that responded to your question.

1. With tractor engine warm, my goal is to adjust the idle down to 400 rpm's, others many go lower, but I find that to be an acceptable idle speed.

2. With a ground engaging tool on the tractor, example disk: you want to adjust the fuel screw so when the tool enters the ground and you reach up and pull open the throttle, the engine increases rpm's and takes the fuel without bogging down.

I believe when you achieve this response, that is about as good as it's going to get with one of these small tractors.
