MF50 transission oil

Lift arms are not working well and the transmission dip stick (a replacement from the MF dealer) shows the trans oil overfilled, substantially above the full line. I did not add tranny oil. Could the two issues be related?

I suspect that the 2 issues are unrelated.....like....

Bought wrong dipstick, and it shows over full. and Lift arm problem is unrelated to oil level. ???

Ask one of the boys on this site to measure the transmission dip stick on his MF 50.

That way you would know the proper length of the dipstick before you start draining oil.

May need to change the transmission/hydraulic oil,
How long has it been since it was changed?

the dipstick on my '57 MF 50 is 5 inches long from the handle. The full line is 3 1/2 inches below the handle. You can also remove the bottom bolt of the inspection cover and see if a lot of fluid drains out.
