MH44 governor adjustment

Does someone have the governor adjustment procedure for a MH44 with 4 cylinder? It is over running, and I only have to open throttle up about 1/2 way.

Thanks.

Sounds like the carb rod is too short. With engine off, throttle lever wide open, carb throttle wide open adjust the rod length so pin will enter the carb lever hole, now lengthen the clevis one turn. If still too lazy lengthen another turn. If you do get it too long it may surge badly. Make sure all linkage moves freely with no binding also.
