MH 50 Steering box pedestal leak

How do I repair this leak? Does the tranny top cover have to come off? What is the lubricant that is leaking? It seems too thin for grease and too thick for gear oil.
A diagram of the parts would be a great help.

My 35 puked up some fluid today after bushhogging a pasture. Seems it only does this after a long work out. The 50 hasn't done this, but its cause is a bad seal up in top of column. Heavy grease cuts down on leak.
