mf35 gen. and vr 12 volt over charging. is this an easy fix?

I have a 12 volt TO35, I have more problems with the charging system than any other part of the tractor.

I would pull cover off the voltage regulator and lightly sand the points, use the finest grade sandpaper and be careful not to bend the arms.

Hopefully that will help,

most of the time mine will not show a charge, clean and sand the points and it's good to go for a while.

I use Borg Warner voltage regulator.
