massey 55 oil filter

Need a oil filter for a 55 massey. What is the number my napa store was no help. Thanks

Don't know, but not all NAPA's are the same. Our mediocre one closed, and a new one opened across town, and it is much much better. Anyway, I betcha an O'Reilly's might be able to look it up.

dieselpuller, the websites for WIX and Baldwin filters (and probably other manufacturers) have lookup features that list the MH55.

I don't know which engine you have, and it also looks like there may be a serial number break that requires a different filter.

Both of my 55's take the same filter as my 44's.

Napa 1090 - discontinued
P90 Luberfiner number

There's supposed to be a replacement for the 1090 in NAPA's catalog, but I have yet to hold on in my hands. NAPA # 7090 or 7290, do not recall exact number. The 44's I use frequently have been converted to spin on with an OB1350 base and PB50 filter. Much easier to get and easier to change as well.

WIX lists two styles. 57290 and 51503.

The 57290 is
Height: 6.04
Outer Diameter: 3.95
Inside Diameter: 0.86

The 51503 is
Height: 8.039
Outer Diameter: 4.092
Inside Diameter: 0.567
