Hi; I hope somebody can help me on my 204. I bought this tractor a few weeks ago, it runs really well, the guy I brought for said it set about a year, after getting it home I think more like three or four, anyway I keep hearing about a trans cooler, does it run thru the radiator or is it a air cooled cooler? Also it turns great to the left but not the right, any help there? Last thing is the pto seal leaks, can you change it from outside the trans or do you have to do that internal. thank you for any help, I bought a service manual and that is no help.

Some early torque tractors did not have any trans cooler....follow the pipe work, if it is on your tractor, It should run up the left side of the engine to a small cooler in front of the main rad. There is a small turnbuckle under the dash to equalise the steering. The connecting pins need to be a neat fit in this and adjusting the turnbuckle very slightly will make a difference to the steering. The PTO seals can be done externally after removing the retainer plate around the PTO bearing, pull the complete shaft, bearings and all. Make sure to fit the new special seal in the right direction as it is a double seal.....to keep oil in and hay etc out!.........Sam
