tie rod issues

How do you seperate the tie rod from the steering crank arm. The steering crank arm is the round curved piece that the tie rod disappears into in the picture. My new tie rod has a nut on it and I am told that the tie rod is supposed to extend through the crank arm and bolt on top. My crank arm is solid. Does it just screw into the crank arm? If so how do you remove it?
Thanks.

Underneath that rubber boot there is a hexagonal
area that you can get a wrench on and turn it out
I don't recall that they are usually rusted in too bad. To remove that tie rod end where you have the nut off, you may need to hold a heavy
hammer on one side of the end and hammer on the
other side to loosen. Chuck

Thanks for the info. It was very helpful. The dealer wasn't any help. I got it apart now I just need to put it back together.
Thanks again.
