I have a 307 grain drill and need to know how to set the "small" or "large" side setting for 50 pounds per acre of oats set on the 6 sprocket? How do you set it? Do you remove the side cover inthe bin completely or just switch sides?

Not sure what you mean, but the speed--and therefore the rate-- setting is in the chain-driven gears and the large drive sprockets in front of the boxes. The covers inside the box are part of the equation also. Should be a seed chart inside of your box on the lid.
