Gonna do my first hydraulic lift pump repair and plan to pull the top cover and need to know if anything on a 59 model 65 needs disconnecting first?

There's nothing I can think of. It should be pretty much by the book. I just had mine apart to put bushings and seals on the rockshaft.

On;y thing it is advisable to remove first, is the stack pipe....under the transfer plate ( or remote valves ) at the front right of the cover. Remember to use the dipstick through one of the bolt holes to lock the control valve linkage out of the way....this also ensures that you get it on the correct side of the control rods on replacement!!!... For anyone else reading.....The 100 series is a slightly different set-up and you need to remove a small roller between the control forks that operate the valve on the pump......reach in through the dipstick
side cover to access this roller......

After reading the manual to remove cover and rebuild pump I think I'm gonna rob the pump out of the 35 with busted block paying attention to serial #'s in order to get psi correct.Has anyone rebuilt their own pump? Sounds complicated. Thanks Samn
