Chaining down 3 pt hitch for loader use

Do I chain it down with the 3 pt in the lowest positon? and after I chain it down to I leave the position lever in the lowest position?

I have been doing this with a 35 since 2008. To use the loader I put the hitch all the way down and chain it, then open the shutoff valve in the loader supply line and push the position lever all the way up. This supplies a constant stream of oil to and through the loader valves and then it dumps back into the transmission beside the shifters. To use the 3 point I move the position lever all the way down which shuts off the oil flow, then I close the shutoff valve and unchain the hitch and it is ready to use the 3 point as normal. Other tractors may be different, this is the only Massey I have had.
