1940 Super 101 Parts

I am in search of some parts for a 1940 Super 101 Massey Harris. I need a new water pump ( or rebuild kit ), also would like to find an electronic ignition system kit, as well as possibly some governor parts, clutch disc, pressure plate, and carburetor rebuild kit. Any ideas where to find some of these items?? Thanks!

The carburetor rebuild kit is available through external link parts. It is a minor rebuild kit (gaskets & seals) for the TRX carburetor.

Working on these models takes a bit of research sometimes. Since they used a Chrysler 6 cylinder engine, you can usually find parts by searching Dodge trucks from the 1940's. Most of the parts are the same. They are usually available through suppliers such as NAPA. Also try antique Chrysler automotive websites such as vintagepowerwagons.com.

The governor is unique to the MH tractor and rebuilding won't be as simple as ordering a kit. You might need to have parts made or find similar pieces for it through places like McMaster-Carr.

Be sure to verify what your tractor has on it. Very often these models have had the original carburetor, engine and/or components changed.
 

Since it has a Chrysler engine, you can often find parts by searching for 1940's Dodge trucks. Most of the engine parts are the same including the water pump I think.

The governor is a M-H design and you will have to make or find parts that are similar.

Basic Carb kits are available. The original is a Marvel-Schebler TRX and they are hard to find parts for other than a gasket set.

Double check what you have, often the original carburetor and engine has been replaced.
